In the vibrant cosmos of 3Geigen, three artistic positions are brought into focus, each manifesting an intimate connection with the violin in their creative work.
Key driving questions in this exploration include:
What does it mean to play a solo within a collective context?
How does the surrounding environment reveal one’s uniqueness?
What defines the “I,” and what forms the “we”?
These questions serve as essential catalysts for artistic creation and mutual reflection.

π – KITE for 3Geigen solo piece
Departing from Heidegger’s notion of the Dasein (the human being) not as a static entity but as an ongoing departure from the self, a standing out of oneself across time, Pi opens a space for reflection into different layers of temporality and human becoming. It is an exploration of identity as a dynamic interplay of cyclical movement, temporal multiplicity, and harmonic complexity.
The accompanying video reinforces this narrative through the visual metaphor of an endless escalator, evoking the paradox of forward movement within an infinite cycle. The motion of feet walking highlights the body as a tool of creation, like the violin, while shadows of hands and fragments of mirrors introduce themes of self-reflection and multiplicity. The diffraction of light across the space creates fragmented forms, echoing the interplay of Pi’s infinite cycles.
